Ceremony and Reception:  Couple's Swept Away

Scott and Stacey at dusk on the beach.  The Catamaran Cruise was just coming back that night.  At the time of the shoot I wasn't liking the boat in the background, but now I think it adds to the image as well as the whole experience at this resort.

Scott and Stacey did a trash the dress session two days after the wedding.  This was one of my favorites from that shoot.

I wish we had colors and lines like this at venues in the Quad Cities.

I shot this image in the hotel lobby.

This is the ceremony location!  Scott and Stacey had a choice of a beach ceremony or at this gazebo in the gardens.  I liked this location because it was private and out of the mid-day sun on the beach.

The sunset was at about 5:30 everyday and it was perfect the day of the wedding.  I like this image for a pano spread in the album!

These two guys walked up and down the beach everyday singing for anyone who would listen and tip!  I was lucky we ran into them the day of the wedding and we did a spotaneous Bride and Groom first dance to the song Big Bamboo!

I wasn't sure if this one would work out at he reception but was pleased with the results!

I shot these images right outside Scott and Stacey's room.

 

We tried to get Stacey on a horse but she declined!  I don't blame her!

 

If you are thinking about a destination wedding consider Couple's Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica.  The resort is absolutely beautiful.  The beach is white with powdery, soft sand, the water is turqoise blue, and the sunsets are stunning.  Likewise the staff is friendly with few exceptions, and the food and drinks are fantastic...all day and all night!

Reception:  The Figge Art Museum

This was my favorite image of the night on the Veranda at the Figge Art Museum.  It was a beautiful night and I love Andrew and Natalie's toast with the Figge's signature martinis and the Sky Bridge and Downtown Davenport in the background.

 

Andrew and Natalie met while attending Augustana College in Rock Island.  This image was shot on the campus.  Every year I have several couples that met while going to school at Augie; the campus is beautiful and perfect in October.

I love shooting on this bridge on the campus...the lines are great!

Image by Jeff Wros.  Natalie and her Dad just before they walked down the aisle.  This is why I have a 2nd shooter at every wedding.  Moments like these are lost if I was shooting alone.

The Flower Girl is a shutterbug and here she is chimping her images.  Future 2nd shooter?  Or future primary shooter?

 

Sue Shinbori captured this image.  Sue is an apprentice photographer that is great with clients and will be a great 2nd shooter.  I'm glad to have her on our team!

I still have Scott and Stacey's wedding in Jamaica to post...the last one of a great wedding year!   Over the winter I will post all the engagement sessions, families, seniors, and everything else!
